Andrea started her career as a recruiter and has over 10 years of experience in Strategic Workforce Planning, Recruiting, Human Capital Sales, Talent Development, Strategic Planning, Culture Changes, Change Management, Workforce Analysis and Planning. Most recently as a Corporate Engagement Strategist Consultant for a multi-national development bank, she worked with companies and governments throughout Latin America and the Caribbean to understand talent needs and devise solutions. Andrea brings several years of technical recruiting and business development experience where she successfully formed corporate partnerships and provided human capital solutions to companies worldwide. She looks forward to putting her in-depth knowledge of creating talent pipelines to assist Opportunity @ Work train the next generation of workforce for jobs in an evolving market.
Andrea was born in Ecuador and grew up in the Philadelphia area. Her education in Human Capital Development combined with her international strategy experience allows her to create tailored solutions for Workforce Development needs.
Andrea has a deep passion about helping others. She loves to work with local groups as a mentor to youth and small business coach. Outside of work, she likes to read and has recently found a love for riding her bike. Her and her 11-year-old son have been living in the DC area for 7 years and enjoy going to sporting events, a good laugh and all the activities that the DC area has to offer.
