Cheston McGuire is the Senior Communications Manager at Opportunity@Work. As part of the Marketing and Communications team, he assists in driving stakeholder collaboration and agency management to plan, implement, and optimize communications programs that deliver key messages to target audiences through paid, owned, and earned media channels.
For the last three years, Cheston was the Press Secretary at the American Federation of Government Employees – the largest federal employee union representing 700,000 federal and D.C. government workers. Prior to his work at AFGE, Cheston was the Vice President of Media Relations at the investment firm Farr, Miller & Washington and Communications Coordinator at the membership association Worldwide ERC®.
As an Alexandria native, Cheston is a long-suffering D.C. sports fan and currently lives in Northern Virginia.
