Executive Assistant
Monique Way is a STAR and an Administrative Professional who has enthusiastically built a career that spans over 20 years. Monique is passionate about being a Servant Leader and strives to apply those values in her work daily. To her new role as a Team Assistant, Monique brings diverse experience in office operations, organization, as well as Executive/team support in Academia, NPOs and long-term health care.
Before joining Opportunity@Work, Monique served as an Administrative Coordinator at the Howard University College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences before transitioning to the role of Administrative Officer to the Dean, managing projects such as the College’s Annual Report and Faculty Appointments. Monique is fiercely dedicated to her professional development. In her toolkit is knowledge gained from the Center for Nonprofit Advancement Executive Preparation Institute, and her work as a Founding Member and Board Secretary of the National Association of Black Administrative Professionals (NABAP), to name a few. She is an active member of the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP) and is studying to sit for the Certified Administrative Professional Exam in 2022.
When she is not donning her cape as an Admin Superhero, Monique enjoys watching movies, listening to music, and enjoying her empty nest with husband Victor.
