COO at Investing in Us
Rae is a strategist and operations executive for organizations committed to serving the greater good through creativity and innovation. She has worked with businesses, media companies, non-profits and investment firms of all sizes and at all stages of growth.
Currently, Rae is the Chief Operating Officer for Investing in Us, providing risk capital and portfolio support to organizations that strengthen American democracy. Most recently she served as the Director of Systems and Strategy for Magic Labs Media, an EMMY-award winning production studio focused on social change through storytelling.
Rae began her career as an Administrative Assistant in the medical field before quickly advancing to roles such as Office Manager, Head of Surgery Coordination and Insurance Authorization, and Lead Emergency Medical Case Manager. After a decade in medicine, Rae began exploring entrepreneurship through helping others build their brands and businesses from the ground up. Through this work, she was recruited into the non-profit sector as an operations and strategy consultant, before moving into executive leadership in the private sector.
Rae thrives on small teams of entrepreneurial cross-functional generalists tackling big problems with uncommon solutions. She lives in Santa Cruz, CA with her two kids and enjoys rock climbing and being near the ocean.
